Senior Pairs – Thursday 28th May 2026

• Pairs Betterball Stableford 18 holes
• Yellow Tees
• Handicap Index Limit 25.1 (handicap allowance 85%)
• Entrants handicap index must be active and fully developed
• Minimum age 55 on date of competition
• All entrants must be members of a Golf Club affiliated to their County Union. We do not accept entries from members of iGolf.
• Entry Fee: Members £25 each, Visitors £50 each
• Entry fee includes bacon rolls with coffee/tea on arrival
• Prizes in Pro Shop Vouchers. To be eligible for the prizes all team members must have a minimum of 6 qualifying scores recorded on their WHS record in the 12 months prior to the competition.
• No refunds will be given for withdrawal within 2 weeks before the event, except in exceptional circumstances

Senior Open; Bill Wilkes Cup - Thursday 1st October 2026 (New Rearranged Date)

• 18 Hole Individual Stableford off Yellow Tees for the Bill Wilkes Cup
• Min entry age 55 on date of competition
• Handicap Index Limit 25.1 (handicap allowance 95%)
• Entrants handicap index must be active and fully developed
• All entrants must be members of a Golf Club affiliated to their County Union. We do not accept entries from members of iGolf.
• Entry Fee: Member £25; Visitor £50
• Entry Fee includes Tea / Coffee and Bacon roll on arrival         
• Prizes in Pro Shop Vouchers
• No refunds will be given for withdrawal within 2 weeks before the event, except in exceptional circumstances

Event Report & Results from 2026 Senior Open (Bill Wilkes Cup) - Thursday 1st October

The Senior Open (Bill Wilkes Cup) took place at Ladbrook on Thursday 1st October, and despite some heavy overnight rain, we were delighted to enjoy a fantastic day of golf.

Preparations began bright and early, with the catering team already hard at work shortly after 6am, preparing food and setting up the restaurant area of the clubhouse.

The reception area had been prepared the previous afternoon by the ladies in the office, complete with a welcoming reception desk, noticeboard and event information. It looked superb and provided a great first impression for everyone arriving at the club.

Meanwhile, the greens staff were out on the course in the darkness, making their final preparations to ensure everything was ready for the day's play. The Pro Shop team also played their part, setting out the nearest-the-pin markers on the 5th and 14th holes.

Players began arriving from around 6:40am and received a warm welcome from the reception team, along with a complimentary goody bag courtesy of the LOBS.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who helped make the day such a success, including the catering team, office staff, greens team, Pro Shop and reception volunteers. Events such as this rely on a great deal of work behind the scenes, and everyone's contribution was greatly appreciated.

Most importantly, thank you to all our members and all the visiting players who took part in this year's Senior Open. It was wonderful to welcome you to Ladbrook, and we hope you thoroughly enjoyed your day, both on and off the course.
