Bertram Moore Winners

The Bertram Moore trophy finds its origins in 1940, when the President, Mr B.M. Moore presented a fine trophy to the golf club as his President's Prize. Tim Smith and his partner Rob Whitney are seen here receiving that trophy from the Captain, Graham Pielow, following a second round of 65 to go with an earlier 62. In hot pursuit were the partnerships of Matt Ellis and Dean Abeal and the President, playing with son Andrew, who both recorded a a 169 total. The result was announced to a packed bar watching Jimenez and the mighty Blues achieving memorable victories.
