Hole Seven

Par 5 / Yards 476
Par 5 Yards 476 Stroke 9

“Just taken on length this par 5 appears to be a doddle for all players, not so fast my friends, for this hole can be a real score wrecker. Out of bounds tight on the right off the tee and a brook crossing the fairway diagonally from left to right in the landing zone mean decisions have to made and a plan hatched. Ideally a faded tee shot starting towards the left rough moving back into the fairway will produce the best result, but a slice will go over the boundary ditch and too long down the left side will find a watery end. From the fairway long hitters will go for the large green, those shorter, will lay up between the two oaks 100 yards short of the green and wedge in uphill. Don't drift right of the green as a deep pit awaits.”
